October 14, 2021 - Up against the Berthaut and the F. Esmonin / The Mortet was clearly the best. Got the Gevrey spice and with a more elegant style , it was far better than the other Village from same year. Respect.

June 29, 2020 - Full bodied for a Gevrey and rather spicy. I found this is a bit too woody which seemed to overshadow the fruit. Lacked the Burgundian qualities I expected.

July 25, 2019 - The Wine Club Tour de France (San Francisco): Ruby. Ripe, spicy nose. Red fruit, good volume but lots of wood. A bit of soil. Modern and very much in the Mortet style, which leaves me flat for all of oak make up. Already drinkable, though.
