  June 16, 2023 - PnP, showing really well. Very aromatic with black cherry, sage, leather, chocolate, plum, and blackberry. On the palate, shows, black cherry, black Soft tannins leading to a long finish. Really good now,

  August 10, 2022 - Benefitted from a 1 hour decant. Beautiful nose with cherry, sage, leather, chocolate, plum, and blackberry. similar flavors. Medium to full bodied. The tannins have softened leading to a long finish. Really good now, but still may improve with time.

  May 15, 2021 - Nice cherries on the nose, which give way to black currant on the mid-palate with a nice acidity to complement the the tannins that show up on the medium+ ending, with secondary notes of tobacco and oak coming out as well. Well-knit and well made.

  May 25, 2019 - I call this wine, "old faithful" because year in / year out, it's just a pleasure to drink. It's easy to drink. And it's a great value. This year, the vineyard sources have changed slightly and now includes Herb Lamb Vineyard which struts its stuff. Additional vineyards are Morisoli in Rutherford and Henry Brothers Ranch, up on Howell Mountain.
  
  Dark purple with red notes, smelling great, silky smooth tannins and a nice long finish. Lots of dark fruit including black cherry and blackberry, vanilla notes initially and dark mocha on the finish. I have not had many wines from Herb Lamb Vineyard, but there are lots of signature notes from Morisoli and especially Henry Brothers Ranch.
