September 23, 2023 - Cherry, mint and barnyard on the nose. A rush of bright black and red fruit greet the mid-palate along with cola, cranberry, spicy rhubarb and trace sweet oak. Medium + body. Finishes
with balance and grace though lacking much nuance or complexity. Last bottle
June 18, 2023 - Raspberry and cherry, with some earth. Moderate + acidity. Very light and easy drinking despite 14.5% abv.
April 20, 2023 - PnP. Medium dark red. Dark fruited nose with some spice. Lovely texture on the palate, though quite intense. Some oak on the finish but should be absorbed by the excellent fruit with time. Drink now or wait.
July 30, 2022 - Wow!! Fruity and smooth
July 12, 2022 - Initially very red fruit forward. Mellowed with time. Soft tannins.
June 10, 2022 - Russian River in a glass. Tasty cherry cola. Richer, more unctuous than Im in the mood for, but no doubt this is a well made wine drinking quite nicely in mid 2022.
February 27, 2022 - Dehlinger's 2017 Altamont Pinot is a medium-to-deep ruby wine that offers an attractive aromatic profile of black raspberries, Bing cherries, dried apricots, cinnamon and savory herbs. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic and without any heat from its 14.5% alcohol, it delivers flavors in line with the aromas and stays solid on the mid-palate. The tannins are softly textured and the wine's oak is well-proportioned. Finishing long and smooth, this is a joy to drink. It should remain enjoyable throughout the decade. This particular bottle was uncorked, poured and consumed over a three-hour period. It seemed to fully hit its stride after the first hour. Drink now-2030.
August 24, 2021 - Love the Dehlinger wines….full body with beautiful flavors
March 27, 2021 - Quite good if young. Citrus and cranberry along with sweeter red fruits
Balanced tannin
Very nice
November 13, 2020 - Light red berry fruit flowing to a very soft finish with a hint of pepper.
