March 17, 2024 - 2 small glasses by Coravin. Remains excellent; a little more spice to complement the fruit this time, but a really good well integrated wine and fairly GV in burgundy terms....

December 25, 2023 - Delightful, uncomplicated red Burgundy at a reasonable price. In a very good place for drinking right now. Good balance, with fruit and acidity just right. Not complex, but who needs that when the red fruit is so good and a hint of tannin just to savour on the finish, which is not bad either. Excellent with turkey and cranberry etc on Christmas Day.

November 25, 2023 - Drunk over 3 separate nights with Coravin.

3rd bottle of 6 and best yet. The vibrant red fruit is very much still there and the acidity supporting it, but it's a little softer and the overall effect is that the wine is now very harmonious, and very much in the TB style. It is not the most complex red burgundy but it is very enjoyable for what it is and if the other three bottles are like this I will be very happy.

July 24, 2023 - This case has been a delight from start to finish. Bright, pretty red Burgundy in the vibrant flush of youth, and I wish now that I had sourced 12 rather than just 6. Bought EP, I had the first in late December 2021, and this was the final bottle last night – so just under 20 months; they were irresistible. As with the other five, this was a bright cherry red with lively and tangy red fruit – very consistent. Again I wondered if this tart acidity might be overdone but, just as last time, concluded that the wine was so approachably delicious that it didn’t ultimately matter. It is so easy to drink, floral and light, joyously on the fruit. Sweet, ripe and succulent, this had a touch more maturity than the earlier bottles I sense, that extra sweetness coming through on the finish. I had one glass of an exorable Pinot Noir from Australia the other day, quite wretched, but it was a good reminder of how good this Tollot-Beaut is and how Pinot Noir can really sing in the right hands and from the right terroir. There are no crus in Chorey-les-Beaune and frankly long may that continue, in my view it significantly increases your chances of being able to drink affordable, unpretentious, lovely red Burgundy.

July 22, 2023 - Medium nose intensity with notes of red fruits, red cherry. Easy drinking. Medium tannin and tannin is smooth.
