July 1, 2021 - hard to hold given the accessibility and QPR, but should be interesting if you can, radiant ruby color and transparency, aromas of rose hips, earthy stone and red cherries, palate is welcoming with beautiful mineral, red fruit, dried cherry and herb, taught, elegant while leaning on the dry side, still no rush on these delightful gems

June 10, 2021 - New style Barolo that doesn't need 20 years to come around, she worked with Liger-Belair before I think and it shows. Lacy and elegant wine, high-toned red-fruited nose but on the palate it still retained the firm tannins of Nebbiolo. Very good for its level, and doesn't show the warmth and overt ripeness. Approachable now, and no point waiting.

May 18, 2021 - Was pretty much open and ready to go right away. Quite elegant for the vintage. Would like to check out this producer in a cooler vintage.

December 3, 2020 - Good, medium bodied, elegant Barolo. Surprisingly ready to drink from this sunny year. Not a complex wine but with charm and it is food friendly. Imagine it will go somewhere with time.

November 23, 2020 - Excellent, traditional barolo. The wine was initially elegant and seemed lighter with a lovely bouquet - roses, citrus and faint goudron - but there is structure here that becomes more apparent as the wine breathes. I see how some might find it like Chambolle in texture initially (although it smells like great Nebbiolo), but with time and proper food (beef stew tonight), it reveals its grip. Should last a very long time, but I enjoyed it as a young wine. My wife found it a bit too unyielding on its own after it had been breathing for 90 minutes, but liked it with the stew.

Follow-up - two nights later after being vacuum sealed in the fridge, it was excellent, more expressive nose and less tannic might

October 18, 2020 - 14.0% abv. Clear, light garnet color - this wine doesn’t appear powerful based on pour. Textbook barolo: cherry, leather, grippy tannin, green leaf, wood. This is a very full and long wine - has decades of life ahead.

May 15, 2020 - Medium ruby color. Floral aromatics - rose hips, lavender, rosemary, nutmeg, with fresh pomegranate and hints of cherry, along with mushroomy earth. Very elegant on the front palate, with shy but emerging fresh red fruit notes and a floral and savory spice secondary core. Very lithe and feminine mid-palate density, with mouthwatering acid and fine tannins, deceptively firm. Succulent and lengthy on the finish. Very charming. Showing well early.

April 9, 2020 - Giulia's Barolo is an elegant and refined wine, it shows a gloriously transparent reddish brick color, the scents of roses, brush, cherry skins and hints of white pepper strike the nose, clean across the palate, with feathery tannins creating a velvety texture, crunchy red berry and herbal tea flavors accompany the underlying liquified stone and earthy mineral foundations, finesse driven, great structure, continues to open and evolve with air at this stage, will cellar well, actually quite approachable now with foods
