  April 22, 2024 - Popped and snuck a sip before letting the bottle sit for the next hour before enjoying a first glass. With the hour, it smoothed considerably. Med-bodied with typical Chianti notes. Great with pasta/red sauce. This still has a lot of life left, so no hurry to drink up.

  April 7, 2024 - Decanted for 3 hours and then an impromptu hospital trip (nothing serious) meant that I poured it back into the bottle and vacced it for the following day. The result was a wonderfully floral wine with fully resolved tannins that retained the Tuscan bitterness and leather flavours. Other half said ‘it’s too dry’ but she never liked Sangiovese anyway (this was one that I selfishly bought knowing I’d enjoy it and she wouldn’t). I wouldn’t necessarily ‘recommend’ that you decant and then leave it for a day, but it did this bottle no harm. I second Honest Bob’s note of ‘juicy’.

  March 30, 2024 - From 75cl, perfect cork, decanted 1 hour, improved until final drop. Best bottle yet (and my last one 🫣) Gorgeous supple vivacious Sangiovese/Syrah blend at early maturity, perfumed, expressive and juicy. 91P

  January 23, 2024 - Ordered 4 bottles recently. Was very disappointed with the first bottle which tasted old and vegetal. Fortunately, I decided to open another bottle and it turned out to be absolutely delicious...full of black cherry and dusty but well integrated tannin. Drinking very well now and will last several more years. Good price quality ratio. The first bottle was off.
