March 4, 2024 - Didn’t live up to expectations. Thin, but nice fruit as far as it went. Tasted like a thin but ok Pinot.

December 3, 2022 - From the Rizzi Vineyard, S/SW exposure, with clay soils atop, and sands of Serravalliano (actual name of Helvetian) ...

Nose of tar, minerals and gooseberry

Palate is refined, elegant, and has a nice fruit, it just ended up Good+ in may tasting book, back then, which means ehhh

December 1, 2022 - I'm with MTP on this one. All the ingredients are there, but the execution falls short (or else this needs a lot more time to put on some weight). Quintessential aromas and flavors mask a lack of heft and gravitas. Drinks like that $25 bottle of Barbaresco they usually charge $50+ for at your neighborhood trattoria.

October 25, 2022 - The reviews on this one had me hoping for more. To me, it seems too light, too denuded, lacking richness. Not unattractive, light on it's feet, even pretty, this just doesn't taste like Barbaresco to me. Has it gone into a shell? 5-11-15-7: 88/100. (I forgot to add that this was opened last night, and has not improved with air.)

October 1, 2022 - sweet-tart cherry; medium body with dense fruit; nice acidity; a whiff of bitter zest on the finish; nice match with several meals and still good at the end of the week
