March 10, 2024 - From magnum. Tasted prior to decanting. Silky texture with fully resolved tannins. Excellent balance and mouthfeel. Lovely black fruits. Decanted about 1 hour before serving with dinner and then followed for a couple additional hours. There was a moderate amount of sediment. A really pretty wine with lovely fruit and wonderful textures and balance. What was missing here was complexity -- there was little development of complex flavors. Still a very pretty and tasty wine.

January 26, 2022 - I discovered this in my cellar and sadly saw it was past its prime. Still holding up, but the fruit has diminished. Waited too long!
It did go great with my ribeye, though!
The wine looks crimson colored. There is moderate sediment in the bottle.

July 15, 2016 - Very nice wine. This bottle was a bit bitter, but probably waited too long to drink it.

April 30, 2016 - Ditto last note. Excellent claret, fruit still bright, and all in harmony now. Wish I had more.

December 12, 2014 - From 6L. Still unbelievably young. Very high percentage of Merlot and it shows a real silky element on the nose and palate. Beautiful ruby red color in the glass. Scents of dark and red fruits, Christmas spices, and cedar. Wonderful wine aging wonderfully out of the large format.
