November 28, 2023 - Medium deep garnet with very good translucency, opened and poured. Crushed ripe raspberries, bramble, some fennel, red licorice, rosemary, thyme, a little tar. Excellent penetrating grip, very good expansive intensity, long and complex length.

    May 21, 2023 - 1/12, good cork.
Medium/dp ruby core, pale ruby rim. Quite ripe on the nose - darkish fruit, wet soil, some violets coming through as it warms slightly in glass. Medium bodied, quite rich and dark, plum, black fruit, firm but reasonably fine tannins, lovely vibrant acids, a touch firm still on teh good lengtjh finish - may well improve. Absolutely no hurry here.

December 26, 2018 - This was good and not a bad value, but I can't say that it was better than what I remember from a year ago of the 2005 Volnay (village) wine from the same producer.

March 17, 2018 - This was drinking 100% flawless last night. Color and concentration was insane. The wine was enormous in scale without a hint of oak. Abundant dark fruits with excellent acidity and it evolved nicely in the glass. Finish went on for at least 45 seconds. Biggest issue was not polishing off the bottle. I’ll revisit my last bottle in a year or two but hard to imagine it could get better. This was the best burg for me this year so far and I’ve had some great ones.
