October 1, 2020 - Excellent -- intense -- dark fruit -- great after 3 weeks of lighter wines

    September 25, 2020 - Deep purple.

Nose: Smashed blueberry, beef blood, black pepper, wet slate.

Mouth: Shows huge polish up front, featuring pure flavors of savory black plum, blueberry, and purple grape that segue into liquid violet, black licorice and crushed black pepper. The fruit comes back again in the midpalate, as everything is shot through with a laser beam of acid and powdered granite that pierces through and keeps it driving along. Broad shouldered tannins kick in toward the end, providing some muscle in closing.

Overall: This is striking, not for what it is necessarily, but rather what it isn't. It is not huge, plush, jammy, with baked in fruits and pie crust flavors on the back end. Not a pandering style, but rather a svelte, polished take on a grape that often isn't allowed to show it. I've long felt that Syrah has the ability to express itself in America in countless ways if given the chance to, this version seems to be proof of that. Drink 2020 - 2029

July 26, 2020 - Very well done syrah. Middle for the road for Bedrock style, tasty and was drunk quickly.

July 25, 2020 - Young but accessible. Dark purple color. On the nose and palate both savory notes and dark fruit, black plum. Primary, but well balanced with fresh acidity and slightly grainy tannins. Bit of white pepper on the finish. So good now, will continue to develop.
