February 23, 2024 - Plush Syrah, on the bigger side without being overbearing. Relatively restrained nose, plums and earth. Dense mouthfeel, with a medley of deep ripe black fruit dominating the palate. Longish finish, smooth tannins with a just enough acid balance knitting everything together. Not my favorite Bedrock Syrah, the overall profile is a bit singular for me. Drink or hold.
February 9, 2024 - This has held up nicely but it is time to drink up. Plenty of dark fruit with minimal oak. Tannins are soft with medium bodied texture. Just starting to show some secondary characteristics.
November 26, 2023 - Darker berries. Fresh and still feels young. Hint of pepper, blood, stone. Great.
July 17, 2023 - Big but not overpowering; wonderful dark fruit profile, and not showing signs of aging. Med acidity/tannins, med+finish. Drank now or wait another few years
May 1, 2023 - Gaining some funk as it ages - still nicely zippy and deep dark fruit.
December 25, 2022 - Wonderful syrah. Big mouthful with black cherries and some drying tannins that, with time, will fade. This grew through the evening with some minor herbal notes being added at the end. It’s a baby that can be drunk now or over the next 15 years.
November 30, 2022 - Decanted for 30 mins. An outstanding Syrah with a wonderful nose coupled with earthy nuances, full and rounded fruit and fine tannins on the finish. Ready now..
November 26, 2022 - Great stuff! A little cooler tasting than the Alder Springs, which I had open at the same time, also great stuff.
November 19, 2022 - 2 hour decant; a touch restrained at first, showing intense black fruit with a fat vein of savory pepper running though it. Opened up over the evening and was deliciously drinkable at the end. Still just a young'un...Drink now with air - 2036.
August 8, 2022 - Always a favorite -- this vintage reminded us of a good Cote Rotie
