May 14, 2017 - cherry and greengage plums on the nose. If your sensitive to pyrazines, noticeable on the initial nose. On the palate, acid and red fruit dominates. In a good window to drink.

September 1, 2016 - Velvety, smooth and plush. Similar to previous bottle though not quite as cosseting and rounded. ****

June 17, 2016 - Mid to full ruby. Really quite plush on the nose and the palate; mid to dark red fruit, no pryazines, a touch of damp earth with some sous-Bois developing. So velvety and smooth. After an hour or so, the fruit starts to tighten and the wine takes on a slightly more mineral structure; definition rather than a hard edge. This is in a wonderful place and really quite gorgeous. ****

June 22, 2008 - Medium red. Lot's of blood and raspberry, and cherry fruit. Kind of a butcher shop note as well. Very dry. After an hour in the glass the nose becomes much more Burgundian.

February 23, 2008 - Tanzer's note is pretty accurate for me. Very open nose with fruit and earthy complexity. Rich and full on the palate with real lift and acidity. These two palate aspects aren't quite reconciled yet, but this is still a good wine. Not green.
    My discrete CT scale: 95-extraordinary; 90-very good; 85-good; 80-fair; 75-poor
