January 20, 2024 - Oregon Trip-Day 2 (Here and there, Willamette Valley): Light, clear ruby. Tart fruit and stem nose. Medium to lighter weight. Beautiful, striking blue and black fruit with a light soil base and fine acidity. Some back end grip remains. Very good or better with a few more years.

May 21, 2023 - PNP after a corked Penner-Ash, this one had an immediate nose of Bing cherries, baking spices, light earth and cola. Good length. Now-2024.

March 14, 2023 - A balanced expression of Pinot Noir. Definitely new world in style but not overdone and it has a modest earthly/mineral character on the backend. Better on day two (stored in refrigerator overnight to slow the ox)

March 4, 2023 - Very nice wine. Kind of reminds me of the Paul Lato wines: transparent ruby with bright acidity and a light cola note. This is has that to a mild degree.

February 11, 2023 - Really excellent, even if it lacked some of the precision and pure fruit of the '19 Plow and Mimi's we tried recently. Lots of earthy dark cherry here, cherry cola mixed with suggestions of mushroom and turned earth. Maybe something like chocolate-tinged oak. The fruit was there although it was occasionally muddled beneath those earth tones. Very elegant structurally. Really nice, just not really as good value as the Avni nor as exciting as the single-block cuvees. It might also be the vintage- I've found a lot of '17 Willamette to have a softer, more cola-style profile.

July 31, 2022 - Good, but nothing to get exited about. Lacked a little structure. Drank over 2 days. Best day-1. Not a rebuy for me.
