May 23, 2022 - Whites by more famous Red makers.....& vice versa. (Grill Room, Hong Kong Country Club, Shouson Hill, Hong Kong): Very pale straw colour. Beautiful clean and expressive lifted nose of fresh-cut green apples, lemon skins and intense minerality. Gosh, this is nice. The palate follows through with great zippy acidity and similar apple, lemon skins with additional white pear and gorgeous minerality of crushed slate and flinty risks. Light and fresh but complex at the same time and the sense that there is material in the background that will add weight and more complex dimensions with more bottle age. This is a seriously well-made wine and shows what a relatively humble Appellation can achieve in the right winemaker’s hands. Consistent with the 2016 vintage we drank two years ago, when I think Nicolas was the winemaker. Not sure he was for this vintage. Thanks, Nicolas!

Lovely, expressive nose, white fruit and a minerally intensity that follows through to the palate with a finely crystalline chewiness that gives a lovely textural quality. Really quite long. This is lovely and ready now though no doubt with further development in hand. ****

November 6, 2021 - Very well made and clean nose. Apple tart and spices with good salinity. Has good density and weight without being heavy. Gained complexity after 3 hours, a good candidate for aging.
