January 20, 2020 - A floral chambolle nose with lots of fruit left

March 1, 2019 - Wine lunch at Imperial Treasure. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with a bouquet of fragrant undergrowth earth, dried red cherries, and some sweet florals with more air. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), melted resoled tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of dried red cherries, sour plum, stony minerality, undergrowth earth. Sweet floral nectar and some leather with more air. Medium+ finish.
Very good quality aged Burgundy. I was thinking more aged NSG village but the florals should have led me to Chambolle instead. Time to drink up before it's too late.
Probably the last vintage under this label as Jean Servelle passed away in 1989 and his son-in-law Christian Amiot took on the domaine - thereafter Domaine Amiot-Servelle.
