November 15, 2019 - Not bad, but alarmingly autumnal and advanced. From the same case as other (better preserved) bottles, this may signal the wine cracking up rather than only an aberrant bottle.

March 6, 2019 - Bt breathed for a few hrs, dark red. Smoke, chocolate, cassis and cedar aroma and hint of floral elements, more like a left bank though. Rather grippy on palate, almost bitter and acidic, seems lacking fruits sweetness to balance the structure, as limited by the vintage.

November 4, 2018 - Opened for dinner tonight.

Black fruits and a tobacco note on the nose.

Light-bodied and savory on the palate - sweet/tart blackberry fruit. Not bad at all.

September 24, 2018 - Pausing for the Cause (S.K.Y. Restaurant - Chicago IL): Small glass, brief note. Complex aromas of black plum and sweet spice. Much less interesting on palate, with slightly coarse, notes.

June 10, 2018 - This didn't have quite the fireworks of the last bottle, though admittedly the corks were pulled and then placed back in for a few hours before we got around to the wine. On my last bottle, the best bits were at the beginning though the nose came in and out a bit thereafter. Still some nice plummy fruit, but this showed much more of the cedar, thyme, mineral, and slate side of the bottling. We opened 4 bottles and I think some of the others may have been a little more impressive, but hey - not going to get around bottle variation.
