July 18, 2019 - Same as previous note, tremendous fruit concentration, maybe a tad more then the last. Need to order more.
June 8, 2019 - This is an outstanding Sauvignon Blanc. tropical fruit on the nose. The palate starts out with guava and then spreads throughout the mouth with strong pear and apple. there is acid for balance, principally at the back of the palate.
I had this first a few months ago when Russel Bevan was in NY. It was great then so we ordered six and it is just as good now as it was that first night. Maybe the best Sauvignon Blanc I ever had. No cat pee (why would anyone like that?). No grassy weedyness. No negative characteristics. Give it an extra point because it's a good white wine choice that's not chard and is not sweet.
May 27, 2019 - Delicious and then some. Great tropical fruit, pineapple, and nice sine of acid, a bit of minerality and sweetness. Cloudy appearance that typifies this wine.
May 11, 2019 - An impressive array of tropical fruit; pineapple, mango, strawberry really stood out individually, they managed to extract a tremendous amount of flavor.
It's unfiltered and perhaps the cloudiest white wine I've ever had.
May 5, 2019 - Delicious SB from Bevan. Cloudy and murky with lovely tropical notes. Smooth and delicious with no sharp edges. A perfect wine for the deck or patio. "Diamonds" in the bottom of the bottle. (Tartrates).
April 26, 2019 - Pineapple, citrus, lime comes in on both the nose and pallet. A good SB, but for sure needs a little air. I attempted to pop-and-pour and it was very rough and unbalanced. Looks unfiltered, and struggled to find any balance throughout the evening. Long finish. Didn't think too seriously about it after the first couple glasses. Decent, but not knock your socks off.
April 26, 2019 - Cloudy, almost unfiltered looking. One dimensional with little to no complexity. This was outshined by a couple other SBs half the cost. Drank over two nights. Will save last two bottles for several more months. Hoping it's in a shock phrase or something.
April 23, 2019 - Super cloudy. Let stand for more than a week and decanted off lees. Oily and rich but grassy at the same time. A raw and unrefined SB with layers of flavor and good acids to balance out the rich fruit.
