Community Tasting Notes 3

December 17, 2022 - Syrah tasting line-up of this and ‘17 Sequel, ‘16 Delille Grand Ciel; stood up very well against more celebrated selections.

  • Ewhite30 Likes this wine:

September 10, 2022 - Floral nose with black currants and asphalt, a subtle note of char in the background. Red fruited and bright early, trends to brambly blackberries with air. Earthy with savory mushroom and olive notes. Mineral laden through the finish, keeping the wine lean and fresh.

Notes from seven plus hours in a decanter and into the next day, makes me feel this has another five solid years in front of it.

  • Jamesgold Likes this wine: 92 points

January 22, 2022 - Significantly improved on night two. Night one had a bit of a green streak that took away from the wine. On night two, the green streak is gone, the earthiness is a bit mellowed with the fruit taking on more prominence. Black berries, orange peel, forest floor, green olive. Texturally this is terrific. I would just give it a long open at this point.
