February 12, 2012 - drank during the superbowl. Not great, but a decent cab!

November 18, 2010 - What a pleasant surprise. Figured it'd be a gimmick, so I opened tonight for the Bears/Dolphins game. Nose of sweet red fruits and nice hints of vanilla. Perfectly integrated dark red fruits with a fantastic, creamy, very smooth finish. In a perfect place to drink now. Medium length finish. More of a classic Napa cab than it is a bruiser (ironic since it comes from Iron Mike), this wine delivers great value for under $20.

January 26, 2008 - Chateau Pennywood Double Blind Tasting (Lisle, IL): Wine 3 of 12 at our soirée. This was decanted for about 30 minutes prior to tasting. Tasting was double blind.

I knew this was at least mostly cabernet. Decent nose, but not outstanding. Decent balance, good mouth feel and finish.

I was surprised when this was revealed as a Mike Ditka wine. I was impressed. It's not a label I would have tried outside his restaurant. Not bad at all.
