Community Tasting Notes 2

November 27, 2022 - as big and burly as before but this go around not quite the same shock to the system. hugely sulfurous in need of a serious decant, loads of lemon, lemon drop wine. impressive potency. unless you are a hardcore fan of reduction, probably should hold ten years, and even then good luck...

February 4, 2022 - acquired at a minor fortune under the supposition (without real evidence) that this wine is the declassified juice of a very well known producer.
nose - quite sulfurous at first, really needed a few minutes to de-gas after which it calmed down considerably. lurking in the background is buttered popcorn and candy corn
mouth - powerful but not heavy, pineapple and potent lemon rind completely coat the palate and linger on and on. Tremendous acidity gives this wine great verve. If ever a lemondrop were a wine, this would be it. When you take a sip, it completely wipes out whatever else was in your mouth. Drinking better than imagined and i suspect it will get even better with time. Freakshow wow wine. If this is the bastard, what's the real deal like?
