December 7, 2018 - Since I opened my first bottle three years ago, this has really come around. This wine was wide open and very savory tonight - I would even say it was special. Silky and round, this CdP had an interesting array of berry, coffee and spice elements. No funk. 92

September 1, 2018 - Dark red. Very typical Grenache based Châteauneuf du Pape nose with spices and herbs in abundance, at first a rather dark fruit profile (blackberries, black cherries), but with air becoming more and more red-fruited and very nice red currant and raspberry notes. In the mouth, it's rich, but the 14.5% alcohol don't show very much, there's still some tannin that could be absorbed, but it gives the wine good structure. Suave finish.

July 16, 2018 - Very good CDP from 2005. Decanted, let breathe 15-20 minutes. Drank over 3 hours. First two hours were the best, then a noticeable decline. I Highly doubt this wine will get any better. While still very enjoyable, the fruit is fading. Tannins are not very noticeable. Wine is Smooth, nice balance, good acidity, with herbs, spice, cedar, mineral, raspberry. Alcohol becomes more obvious as it warms in the glass. If I had any more, I'd drink them within the next 24-36 months.

July 14, 2018 - See previous TN, this is a very good bottle of wine that needs to be consumed ASAP. Tertiary notes and moderate supporting acidity. The finish is still decent, consume now.

April 17, 2018 - This 13 yr old CdP is certainly moving into a tertiary flavor profile on it's final leg of the mile relay.
Ashes, wet earth, a hint of pepper, black fruit, and menthol are some of the aromas and flavors that come to mind.
There is still ample acidity to support the wine's aging a few more years, but this is really ready to drink up and enjoy by 2019 IMHO.
