July 3, 2023 - No formal note, dark cherry tones and some oak elements mixed in with balanced acidity and noted tannins, excellent QPR here.

March 28, 2022 - WSET 3 - session 4 (Utrecht): [Blind tasted] deep ruby red, dried fruit, strong tannins

December 10, 2020 - A perfect wine that is ready to drink today and can be kept for a decade. A perfectly balance wine for all levels of drinker and most type of meals. Excellent QPR, will buy again. 90+

December 10, 2020 - Sweet Cali bomb relatively saved by a late acid leak. On the other hand, black currant, tomato, graphite and maybe barrel char remind of incisive petite sirah. Less racy than the '16 at its best. It's ok

3 days @room, now in a 375 filled to ~373, the bouquet is spectacularly suffocating, a revelation of the evils of ullage, and the opposite qualities noted above have merged into an harmonious whole that is still too damn fleshy for me
I cannot tell you what a pleasure it is to pronounce the words Ooo lazh whilst perusing the masterpieces that are the 1st 2 episodes of the Beverly Hillbillies, Cezanne ün

4th & last day: stewed plums, blood & palm sugar now dominate. Too corpulent for me, but if you want California at a fair discount, there you go

October 10, 2020 - Purchased for ~$23. Dark crimson, almost opaque in color. Nose of spice, graphite, dark berries and some tar. Similar notes on the palate with juicy black cherry, blackberry, and some spicy vanilla. Nice acidity really makes this a juicy wine. I like it, just not crazy about it at this price. Grade: A-
