May 25, 2019 - Dont have much experience with Chave but this is a greatwine. Lovely herb de provence aromatics. Dense.

May 25, 2019 - 12 coeur. Complex and textured, if still quite primary. From jero.

February 3, 2019 - Super Bowl 2019 (Alpharetta, GA): Dark garnet core with garnet rim, sediment; nose seems a bit dried out, slightly cooked fruit, tea, weedy, leather, some dried fruit, sandalwood, very tannic, dried out character, feel like it is from the Piedmont, no pyrazines so ruled out Bordeaux varietals; very surprising after reveal, disappointing, has to be an off bottle, called '97 Sandrone Cannubi.

December 22, 2018 - Deep, dark fruit, mixed spice, and roast meat are available on the nose. The palate is already silky and elegant and the 2005 Hermitage is surprisingly accessible but there is so much upside one shouldn't touch this for the better part of a decade. Drink starting 2025.
