January 12, 2024 - Yet a fantastic Christoffel wine.
On the nose: Petrolium, exotic fruit, mineral, rubber in a fine mix.
On the palate: The exotic fruit combined by a very well balanced acidity makes the wine brilliant. Petrolium, mineral.

December 31, 2020 - NYE - No real notes.
Had with the dessert tonight.
The dessert was not needed, this took completely over, since its such a great wine.
Said it before and I still do: KaJo are truly the wizard of Mosel - the undisputed king of Riesling.
Superb nose with trademark diesel and tropical fruits, white flowers, touch of fire smoked slate and honey.
Great palate with again tropical fruits, honey, minerals and bottled sunshine.
Tremendous balance with superb acidity for a perfectly balanced Auslese.
Will keep (and improve) for decades, but open for delicious enjoyment now. -

January 24, 2020 - Lovely and easy drinking in perfect balance. Classic Christoffel! Has settled nicely and will easily hold another decade.

October 1, 2016 - Tasted blind. Petrol nose, pale straw color. Lots of minerality, very elegant, not very sweet (especially considering the vintage and *** designation). Very good now though no rush to drink.
