July 10, 2020 - 2018 Barone Montalto Pinot Grigio (Sicily)
Cheap but deep. Less is more. The crystal clean nose is unmasked by a subtle scent of honeysuckle and kiwi. Fresh citrus flavours of lemon and lime with a lingering second wave of crisp acidity (artfully depicted on the label). Even exudes an ethereal tang of evergreen resin but in a delicious non-retsina way. Versatile without being vapid. A vibrant, great value wine
