This is the famous chardonnay made with a smidge of early-harvested verjus blended in because Brosseau is too warm to retain the acidity the winemakers want. I love the bite of sourness and tartness here. At the same time, it won't be confused for white Burgundy as there is a certain fatness to the chardonnay fruit without much anchoring minerality. That said, the tension between the creamy and the crisp makes this great at the table and a refreshing exception to the dominant paradigm in domestic chardonnay.
