March 3, 2024 - Lovely wine, medium garnet color with a lovely expressive nose of sweet cherries and spice. Body was medium with balanced acidity and resolved tannins. Fruit still present along with cola and savory tones. Only bottle but great price to quality wine at least when I bought it.
October 9, 2022 - I didn't take detailed notes, but this is a great wine.
The wine is currently more earthy/herbal than fruity and finishes a bit bitter (i.e., bitter herbs). Nice concentration and fuller body for a Pinot, but not at all jammy or especially ripe tasting. Nicely balanced and no heat.
Drinking well now, but if you really value fruit, you might not want to wait much longer to drink.
We had this after a 2006 Marcassin Pinot, and while the Marcassin was clearly and significantly better, this Lagom was great even next to such a excellent wine.
July 20, 2021 - Decanted for 2 hours then consumed over the next three. Developing nicely into a very satisfying package with an elegant fruit/texture integration. There remains a soft tannic presence and sufficient acid to complete the sensation. Uncomplicated but sensually pleasurable.
May 1, 2021 - Nose of cranberry sauce, lemon curd and burnt beef fat. Astringent and racey on the palate with chocolate undertones and some cinnamon spice. Great with BBQ ribs.
March 7, 2021 - Tasting at Torrin - 3/6: Aromas of black cherry and raspberry fruit, fresh hibiscus & herbs, baking spices. Bright and expressive palate, with rich fresh fruit layered with floral and sweet spices. Refined and elegant, with fine length.
October 17, 2020 - Wonderful Pinot. Nice fruit, minimal earth, smooth finish
March 14, 2020 - Drank at winery, closer to Oregon Pinot, more minerals instead of bright fruit
January 14, 2020 - awesome
December 24, 2019 - BIGGER THAN YOU AVERAGE PINOT.........SMOOTH WITH BALANCE. PATIENCE THOUGH AS WILL IMPORIVE
September 28, 2019 - Paso Robles wines; 9/27/2019-9/28/2019 (Paso Robles): Tasted at winery; gentle fruit, nice finish, big wine, not for me.
