Community Tasting Notes 5

December 1, 2020 - 14.5% alc. Purple color. Cranberry fruit on the nose, spices. Plenty of matter on the palate, pure fruit, sour cherries, cranberry fruit, marked tannins, good acidity. There’s a lot of volume right now, some hard edges. This needs a few years in the cellar to settle down. I’m not too worried about the alcohol, but would have preferred a degree or two less. The vintage speaks.

October 20, 2020 - Bellevue wine tasting club in Singapore. Medium purple Color. Not a lot of fruit on the nose, some licorice, capsicum, forest floor and herbal notes. Med acidity, full body, high alcohol, Med finish, velvety tannins, Med flavor intensity. Quite structured, tasting some nice fruit and cherry, green nose disappeared, and some chewy tannins. Very enjoyable. Will happily buy.

July 22, 2020 - Decanted for 1h. Aromas of ripe red and black cherries (almost Jolly Rancher type), ripe plums, some herbs and minerals. Ripe black cherries and plums on the palate w a nice mineral streak and a hint of herbs and bark
Nice acids on a medium body w mildt tannins on midpalate. Nice juicy finish of ripe black cherries and plums. Definitely on the ripe side but not overblown in any way. I suspect there is more structure.herw that's obscured by the ripe fruit.

April 30, 2020 - Light purple in colour. Sour cherries and overly ripe strawberries in the nose. Maraschino cherries in the mouth. Lovely finish with nice acidity. After 2 hours, it morphed into crunchy green apples that had just ripened. Lovely wine.

April 13, 2020 - Stunning... pure and precise. Medium weight flowed silkily across the tongue before settling and showing its gravity and mild tannin. Rosehip, springing from soil followed by a primal meatiness.
