August 18, 2023 - First time having a Riesling from Von Hövel. Very soaked cork that came out only with slight crumble at the end and the wine had a beautiful golden color!
Canned peach, canned pineapple, apricot, ripe mango, candied lemon, pickled lemon, thick honey, cane sugar and big petroleum hit. Very thick and creamy mouthfeel and it's definitely the sweetness and ripe fruits that dominate.
Feels almost like a Sauternes and I'm missing a bigger hit of freshness and acidity to hit my preference. Would be a great dessert wine because of the sweetness.
