    April 18, 2020 - Legends (MG): blind
Keller was detectable, but no idea of site and vintage. Saline, balanced, yellow stone fruits are in the background, precise finish maybe a hint too broad. 94

February 15, 2020 - 2005 Riesling Morstein GG, cellar: Full Riesling nose with plenty of ripe fruit notes, mainly yellow stone fruit and sweet exotic fruits (mango, pineapple), delicate honey notes. Klaus Peter Keller is a genius in the interpretation of the Morstein terroir. But the 2005 vintage, due to its ripe fruit aromas and spiciness, rather reflects the warm year than the otherwise typical Morstein characteristics: freshness, energy and minerality. The 2006 vintage following in this sample is - despite the not easy vintage - for me the clearly bigger wine. 91/100 2020 - 2025

    March 18, 2019 - Not blind
Maybe the best 2005 Riesling I've ever had. For this hot vintage it is suprisingly fresh and lean. No aging signs,no petrol. Still dominated from his grapefruit acidity. For me stronger than G-max and Wittmann's Morstein, which is s really good representative for this vintage. Some passionfruit and wet stones in the finish. 97

October 20, 2016 - Dinner at a friend’s place. Wines were tasted blind. The wine’s bouquet offers flavors of dark yellow fruits. Pineapples, ripe peaches, kumquats and distinctive mineral notes. Elegant and with lots of pressure on the palate. The mineral flavors are strong and also present themselves quite dominant during the long-lasting finish. This wine has great structure, all the more so as the vintage proved to be rather challenging. Personally, I’m of the opinion that this wine still lacks some more lively acid, which is why I find it a tad too fat, but given the vintage, this is fabulous stuff.

Blindverkostung.
