September 8, 2022 - Bigger intensity than I expected. I detected the slight bitterness that reminded me of a Gewürztraminer.

July 19, 2022 - Baked apple, pear, herb, with white chocolate on the bouquet. Round and tactile mouthfeel with tingly acid and a long finish. Perfect balance here, label says 12.5%. Very well made pinot gris from vineyard to cellar. Current vintage has a price increase of about 50% from the 17'

Pale gold
Medium (+) nose of peach, apple blossom, yellow apple. baking spice, soy, ALMOND, cereal
Somewhat creamy, dry, medium (+) acid….just, medium alcohol, medium (+) body, medium intensity, medium finish. PB spotted by Eric
The intensity is suboptimal and that of the nose and palate are in disequilibrium. The length seems clipped but the wine shows both complexity and the some balance between fruit and acid as well as primary, secondary and tertiary aromas. The wine is of good quality
Not suitable for ageing. Not enough intensity for that.
Guesses:
I little oily with the peach and an acidity which was only just med + and so I went for a NW (fruit driven ) Viognier.
Mistakes:
I failed to detect or factor in the phenolic bitterness call of at least one other person at the table. However, Viognier may have some bitterness though I have never gotten a clear example of the in NW examples. If I had gone directly to med + acid instead of waivering at medium, it would have helped. Also, I failed to consider the creaminess could have been due to the (11 months on) the lees. -

January 8, 2022 - Organic. Pale gold, with lots of sediment and tartaric crystals. Med. aromas of bruised apple, ripe lemon, melon and a hint of stone fruit. Dry, with med acidity and med (+) alcohol (13.5%), with classic Pinot Gris phenolic bitterness on the medium-long finish. Med (+) body and flavor intensity. The mouthfeel is slightly oily/creamy most likely due to the 11 months spent on the lees. Good quality and somewhat evocative of Alsace, but I wish the acidity was a little higher. Drink now, not likely to improve with further aging.
