  October 24, 2020 - Purchased for ~$13. Really enjoyable wine and I am not a merlot fan. Dark, almost opaque purple. Lots of sweet, dark fruits here supported by a chorus of vanilla, oak and a hint of chocolate. The oak treatment really does wonders for this wine. I think they really hit the sweet spot between fruit and oak here. My only wish was that the finish was longer. It's so good, I want to keep coming back for more. But just wish it lasted a bit longer. Grade: A-

  August 26, 2020 - Delicious nose of sweet licorice, ripe blueberries, fresh toasted oak, vanilla spice and dark chocolate. A crowd pleasing personality. The same delicious factor extends to the palate which is rich and full of toasted sweet spices. A layer of fresh acidity cut through the sweet and lush medium-bodied structure, providing a welcomed balance. Transitions from entry to finish is smooth with good length. If you like the style of the modern Napa Cab, this Merlot is very close, just lacking some refinements and depth. Pomerol or St Emilion fans look away. Ready to drink now and it will age for a few more years.
