September 15, 2020 - in reading my note for a previous bottle, a distant 5+ years ago, liked it but thought not the best value & certainly too young; tonight's bottle, with several hours of air, warranted its original purchase price, at least. nose started out typical Girardin oak-inflected & fruit sap, but developed more interesting woodsy & forest floor aromas, maybe even just a bit of brett; exaggerated cherry extract ripeness that tempers some with air, but never steps down; lingering acidity, moderated roasted tannins.

pan - roasted chicken thighs; warm white bean, radicchio & arugula salad w/roasted zephyr squash

May 30, 2020 - Purchased 2 different lots of this, 2 yrs apart. First group yielded some 94 pt stunning stuff. More recent purchase (this March) yielded the first of a more disappointing group. Gave this a generous 93, with high acidity and somewhat thin fruit. Lots more to go.

February 9, 2017 - Aroma: dried flowers. Taste: Sweet fruit, cherry, syrup, allspice, thick, long finish

July 23, 2016 - Good example of GC from Vosne Romanee but a little too much barrel influence (char?) reduces the score.

November 14, 2015 - Pulled the cork to honor France. Glad we did, cherries and raspberries. Nice long finish. Vive la France!
