August 10, 2020 - Bought on release, perfect cork. Deeper purple color, silky texture. A bit hot and tannic when opened, but softened after a few hours in the glass. Definite wood fragrance and a surprising nutmeg spice for Volnay. Drink now, but only after ample air, but will hold and soften over another 3-5 years.
November 18, 2018 - Pretty nice evolution to date. Perhaps a bit more ripe than I would ordinarily like, almost a blue fruit finish, but not overly so.
April 6, 2018 - Somehow this tasted more like a barolo to me. Still young. Minerality unbalanced with the rest of the ingredients.
June 22, 2015 - Unique chemical aroma of rose petals and lychee nuts, not typical of PN. Not corked, just unusual. Medium body, fruit partly faded; what's left is one-dimensional without varietal characteristics. Moderately hot and tannic. My wife didn't like it all, only took one sip and refused any more. Drink up or pour out.

December 25, 2012 - Opened second bottle not corked but tasted like a cheap £7 bottle of wine
totaly shut down no bouquet.
acidic with a reasonable amount of fruit but you would not recognise this as PN. Great dissappointment for xmas day as these wines are £40/bottle
Kept in absolute perfect conditions since 2007 with no evidence of cork failure. This is the risk of buying burgundy!! Ouch!!
December 25, 2012 - Bought ex chateau 2007 kept at a constant 12.5 degrees 60% humidity
perhaps the most corked wine I have tasted undrinkable
March 8, 2012 - I agree with Biskuit. Good wine here, just needs lots of time. Am gonna check on the rest of the bottle on night two.
March 7, 2012 - Needs a few hours of air to show, still young, would recommend holding.
January 5, 2012 - Cherry, cranberry, and briar. Had good depth of flavor and some nice minerality. Solid, but not spectacular.
