Community Tasting Notes 15

January 16, 2023 - Opened Jan 2023 so a bit out of its drinking window, more acidic and tastes more unfinished than expected from a pinot noir, especially at this price point

    Crunchy and earthy.

January 2, 2022 - Pretty good for a $14 wine. Nothing remarkable. Moderate berry, holds up to a steak. Low tannins.

November 25, 2021 - The wine pours a very very pale ruby. On the nose, very ripe fruit…cherries, strawberries…almost a bit medicinal.

On the palate, there is a very smooth entry with fresh red fruit and a hint of oak presence. Mid palate is a tad bit astringent from the very ripe fruit. Long finish

Overall, nice QPR. I think you may be better served paying a few extra dollars for a better balanced Pinot, but this is enjoyable.

September 24, 2021 - Earthy notes of conifer, green peppercorns, and tomato leaf over black raspberries and dark cherries. Smoothly textured, good length, depth, and concentration. Toasty brown sugar lends a density. Good now with air but it's still youthful and will probably gain layers and complexity with another year in bottle.
