August 16, 2020 - Tasted at the winery. About 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc. Translucent medium to dark garnet with a tinge of purple. Medium+ tannin and acidity. Not sure how long this had to breathe? (Tasted around 1-2pm) This was quite hard and unyielding. It had graphite and the usual cab/Bordeaux flavors veiled under the structure but it was wrapped up very tight. It needs 10+ years in a good cellar (or/and a long decant) then it will probably be more attractive to drink. And potentially score a good deal higher in my book.

    June 15, 2020 - Notes from day 2.
N strong nose with merlot shines mostly here with fragrant cherry, raspberry, forest, dark bakers chocolate
P similar on the pallet with red raspberries, rainer cherry, tobacco, earth, spice
F long in length, good mouthfeel and tannin
Really nice wine by Jim, but this seems like its showing so well now that I wonder how this will age compared to normal vintages as they usually are the best in a few years of cellar time.

    May 23, 2020 - At the open:
Smells of dates, plums, and pine trees; brooding
Tastes of light red and bramble fruits with an undertone of scratchy bark
Moderate tannin on the gums - fine grained

    After 90 minutes:
Smells of plums, sweet black fruit, and vanilla
Tastes of spice, tobacco, & wild dark red fruit.

This is a very compelling left bank effort. It is still evolving quite a bit and will be a pleasure to follow. Maybe a touch lighter at present than expected.

December 8, 2019 - Aromatic, balanced, and already very approachable blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Reminds me of a fine classed growth left bank Bordeaux (think Chateau Talbot). Aromas of griotte cherry, cocoa, licorice and cassis jump out of the glass. The medium bodied mouth is fleshy and round with dark chocolate, black cherry and notes of a fragrant pipe tobacco humidor. A sturdy Cabernet structure balances the easy appeal of Merlot. No green notes or bitterness in the well-gauged tannins, which impart a sensual mouthfeel. Aging partly in new French oak adds polish and a luxury feel to this outstanding wine, perhaps Linden's best Bordeaux bottling since 2009. 92-93

So delicious now but should keep and improve over the next decade.
