June 4, 2023 - Subtle complexty and finish. Taste the age.
Cranberry, sage, feta, hint of juniper
Light spice, lively
April 30, 2023 - Magnum
Served a touch too warm. This delivers! Blackberry, unsweetened coco powder, garrigue, peppercorns, and minerality. Impressively structured, fine balance, high quality finish. 91-92.
April 26, 2023 - Restrained fruit, somewhat savory. Medium body. Flavor notes of blackberry, sage, and fig with a touch of white pepper. Refined tannins on the finish. Good, but just OK for me.
November 30, 2022 - Effusive black cherry and plum flavors and aromas. Full bodied and pleasurable, but not over the top.
November 17, 2022 - Garrigue and spice. Very enjoyable.
June 19, 2022 - drank for Father's Day at Petit Trois
November 7, 2021 - A nose of red fruits and spice, park garnet in color. A medium to full bodied GSM with black cherry, cranberry, crisp spices on long finish, was very good. www.winelx.com
October 11, 2021 - Restrained but elegant. Medium bodied.
October 6, 2021 - A morning business meeting in Baltimore transitioned brilliantly to great lunch at Petite Louis - a favorite in Roland Park. The 2017 Gour de Chaulé "Cuvée Tradition" Gigondas jumped out at me on the list despite this village not being my usual lunchtime steez. Glad I did though because it danced elegantly with the steak frites and the house terrine of foie gras. Black currants, raspberry, strawberry, anise and pepper notes in a smooth, silky mouthfeel wine that is light on its feet for lunch yet delivers the goods in pairing with a hearty meal. Decided to check bottle variation so ordered a second. All good. -DD93
August 23, 2021 - Rides the line between bold CdP and smooth Cotes du Rhone. Really enjoyed it.
