January 14, 2021 - Super-interesting experience. This is very yeasty/toasty... feels much more mature and settled into itself than the typical Ultramarine (most of which are younger than this and get less time on lees).

Has some notes i really value in champagne, but I’m finding that in this wine I probably value the big, pure, electric/acidic fruit over the mature yeasty notes I’m getting. In other words, at least for the roses, the regular-release Ultramarine may be more my style.

Fascinating to try, still a wonderful drink, and not the same conclusion I’ve come to with the late disgorged BDB.

Dark pink in color. Creamy strawberry fruit. Good acidity. Really good

December 14, 2019 - rich and surprisingly powerful. complex, and kind of strange as well. I enjoyed it and would be interesting in revisiting.

June 24, 2019 - in the zone. special stuff. 2011 vintage 2019 disgorgement. I'm a sucker for the wilder saignee style. deep in color, sweet fragrant fruit with some savory inflections
