November 16, 2021 - Compared side by side to 2018 Kirchspiel

13%abv. Paler in color. Less fruits and more closed, it however, offers extremely well defined chalky minerality, wet stone, lime, fresh lemon. Exceptional mid palate focus and concentration and a lingering ethereal finish. So fine. Of course, need time as well, even more.

July 3, 2021 - I tasted it over three days and can say that for me it only really started to unwind on day 3. While day 1 is all about power and concentration, with ripe tropical fruits mixed with salinity, crushed rocks, and herbs, all tangled up in tons of structure and dry extracts, the wine still felt refrained and too compacted to be really enjoyable.

If let open for a few days a much more elegant and mineral side comes to the fore. More relaxed on the palate, with insane minerality and savouriness - salted lemons and lemon custard, rocks, and some whiter fruits. The finish is still extremely long but less drying and more enjoyable. This has all the pedigree and stuffing to go a very long time but I would keep my hands off if you could for now.

February 11, 2021 - PnP night cap, drank over two days. Electric energy and superb balance. Crispy citrus-driven balanced by the perfect Riesling sweetness and body. 94

December 28, 2020 - This wine is deep straw in color with a med(+) intensity of aroma. I smell asparagus, oatmeal, ripe green apple, ripe pear, kiwi, orange peel, and candied lime peel. This wine is dry with high acidity, med alcohol, a and a long finish. The palate is very consistent with the nose. Overall, this is a very good wine that can be drunk now, but is suitable for further ageing. This wine will likely be outstanding in 5 or 8 years.
