January 19, 2022 - One of my favorite roses and a bargain at $18. Holds up for days in the fridge. Delicious. Great with poke bowl or just by itself.

June 30, 2021 - Coppery, salmon pink. Quite a ‘simple’ nose of fresh strawberries. On the palate it’s bright with tart fruit on the entry. Then then it rounds out with a slightly creamy texture. Good acidity and a touch of salinity on finish.

June 3, 2020 - Slightly notes of oxidation, sour cherry, cranberry, crushed rock, fresh cut grass. Velvety, red wine-like mouth feel. Refreshing acidity; sour red berry upfront fading into a salty minerality.

April 25, 2020 - Solid but somewhat unexciting over two days. It's relatively inexpensive Beaujolais rose, and perhaps I'm expecting too much, but Thivin is one of the most consistently excellent producers in Beaujolais, with almost every red wine a guaranteed winner, even in the tougher (i.e., riper) vintages of late. So, while this is in no way a bad wine it just doesn't thrill at all. Maybe that's just the riper '18 vintage too though, because what this is most lacking is some acidic pop. My early take on 2018 reds (not Thivin) has been extremely disappointing. Looking like one to avoid the roses as well.

February 9, 2020 - Distinctive Rose, and it warmed up an Alaskan King Crab feast perfectly. Glowing peach/pink color. Nose brings cherry blossoms, sour apples, watermelon, and orange rind. The palate is medium, round, and very tart on entry, bringing grapefruit, kiwi, pomegranate, and lime, which is then followed by a late-palate surge of candied strawberries into a clean finish. Good weight but crisp and tart enough to feel vibrant. Nice QPR. Drink 2020-2022.

August 28, 2019 - Medium-light pink in color. Full, fragrant & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of fresh strawberries, cherries & watermelon with overtones of floral notes, spices & minerals. Light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, crisp, ripe fruit flavors of strawberries, cranberries & pomegranate with spices & minerals. Lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present & has some limited potential for additional development with another year of aging.

July 10, 2019 - Have drank several of these so far since it arrived. Highly recommend, big wine with lots of aromatics and flavors that linger. A rose with big fruit, moderately excellent acidity and slight tannin. Great value if you can find it.
