August 20, 2022 - I decanted this for about an hour and it‘s opening up beautifully. Perfumed, layered and very pretty, with notes of strawberries, red currant, some herbal notes (probably stems), mint, also a touch of sweet spices and oak, some earth, minerality and some orange zest. It‘s medium-bodied, with very good persistence, it has pretty high acidity and some medium- tannin that is still present but good quality. Long finish with quite some complexity. This is a beautiful red Chassagne and proof that Clos-St-Jean is probably one of the top terroirs for red wine in Chassagne-Montrachet. This will age for a long time and will probably just improve even more from here. (93+)

April 14, 2022 - Light ruby; high intensity aromatics, pure strawberries, slight mint/menthol; palate is light bodied, low but youthful tannins, tons of primary red fruit, strawberries, just a touch of sweetness to the fruit but without warmth/heat, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%); finish is medium-long. Exceptional balance, superb purity of fruit with some deeper complexity, maybe a touch of stems with the little bit of mint but not too much. Enjoyable now, but will likely age well too. 92-93+
Day 2: perhaps a bit more integrated, but honestly just seems young and full of potential. I think this needs 15 years to enter a lovely tertiary phase with some sous bois.

April 8, 2022 - Vosne romanee style Beaune, very satisfying

March 28, 2022 - Medium ruby. Dark cherry, a suggestion of funk. Beautifully balanced, with fine acid backbone. Quite friendly and generous over three nights, developing to the end. We will try to wait quite a few years to open the next end last.

November 6, 2020 - Un superbe pinot en jeunesse. C’est frais, un fruit pur et d’une belle gourmandise. Ca va être difficile de les attendre !
