June 13, 2023 - Hopefully this is an off bottle as it's uncharacteristic for this property. This smells faintly of Barolo and faintly of Brettanomyces-infected Ribera del Duero. Not going to rate and will open another bottle soon.

October 6, 2022 - Med garnet. Med (+) nose of ripe red cherry, cranberry, medicinal herbs, licorice, dried roses/violets, leather, tobacco and a hint of baking spice. Dry and very well balanced, with med (+) acidity, med (+) tannins and high alcohol (14.5%). The palate is consistent with the nose, with ripe fruit, med (+) flavor intensity and length, with a savory, mineral finish. Drinking well now at 7 years, with potential for further aging.

September 2, 2022 - Pale garnet. Aromatic & complex nose, with cloves, cardamom and bay leaves dominating some red fruit.

Quite elegant body, with brisk acidity and a good helping of fine-grained tannins that mellowed a bit over time. The palate was less complex than the aromas. Still a bit tight. Needs more time in bottle, but likely to improve.

August 26, 2022 - Ok, thats another level than most base Barolo. Within Barolo, this is a good qpr. Fragrant, lifted, but with depth. Drink or hold.
