November 29, 2023 - Very dark, no bricking. Entering its closed phase; rather shy even after a 2 hour decant. Red fruited core, tar and a herbal note on the nose. Very fine tannin. Would either wait or decant longer.

November 19, 2023 - Barolo and Truffle dinner (Flat 9): This was delicious; just as red-fruited as the Ratti, but of sturdier build and with more tar and some greenish and spicy Verduno character to complement the sweeter, more floral notes. Pleasingly ready despite no decant, but still a grown-up, 'proper' Barolo.

Nice core of fruit with cherry stones and a chalky (signature) finish.
As other mentioned elegant for the vintage.

February 6, 2021 - Double decanted six hours in advance. It never really opened up fully but gave us glimpses of its class and pedigree. Lithe and light on its feet it has a smoky entry and seduces you with its rich ripe berry fruit and beautiful equilibrium.

November 14, 2020 - Darker in color, but crystal clear. The nose shows expressive floral aromatics, red berries, and leather. Dark cherry, raspberry, licorice, and spice. The warm vintage is evident in the rich fruit, but it is very balanced. Light bodied, fine grain tannins, lots of elegance. Just love this producer.
