August 4, 2023 - Just entering a drinking window but could use 5 years and will improve 10-15. Crunchy cranberry with bright acidity but very prominent tannins. Potential to be outstanding over time.

February 21, 2021 - A little darker fruited than the Clos Nouveau. Stone fruit, iron, violet, and less leafiness. On the palate, it's structured and expansive with a suppleness that belies its depth and power. More stone fruit, iron, earth. A more brooding and inwardly turned version of Cab Franc than the Clos Nouveau with beautiful balance, power, and harmony. Outstanding

Over a few hours the stone fruit morphs toward cassis, gains some bitter chocolate, leafy notes and florals. Terrific depth and poise. A little more stern, savory, and earthy than the Clos Nouveau. I suspect this will drink for a long time (and should be cellared) 94+

January 17, 2021 - an hour decant revealed a very good wine and while all the requisite elements of a cab franc from the Loire are there in good amounts, the only thing this needs is time, so very young and a bit of astringent. I'd give this another 5 years for my next. Oh yeah... way too expensive compared to what the market has to offer.
