October 14, 2023 - Medium dense and almost purple in colour. Closed on the nose initially, some shy red and black fruits and a peculiar sawdust note. With time some more red and black fruits and some pencil shavings appear and the bouquet fleshes out and becomes more juicy, but the impression is still of a wine in its closed phase. The palate is medium bodied, tight and very structured with a fairly long finish. I think this wine will be amazing, but I think it'll take a long time, +10 years, to really get into its prime. I've had 2nd growths of similar age that appeared more open and approachable at this stage. Points are for expected potential.

October 12, 2023 - Deep purple color and rich blackberry aroma with hints of black pepper and cedar. The flavor mirrors that with the cedar being a bit more prominent. Lovely wine. Medium bodied. Rich finish. Could use some more time but drinking beautifully now.

August 19, 2023 - Deep color. Nose is light but there’s charcoal and dark berry. Pretty tannic still, got better with some air. Some nice raspberry fruit waiting in the wings, but this one was still a bit tight. At $25 or so a bottle, fair.

August 14, 2023 - Fruit on the nose and palate. Some Minerality also and crisp tannins at the finish. Nice one!
