July 22, 2023 - Full yellow, splash of green. Aroma of peaches and limes. Deeply complex and aromatic. Tangy peach, mango, lime, coconut, lemon and vanilla flavours. Even a touch of pine and smoke. Slightly musky. Delicious.
February 16, 2023 - Really great potential here, but it definitely needs more time to reach its caramel-y destination.
February 4, 2023 - Really good nose and palate. Very well balanced sweetness and fresh acid. Good complexity and lenght.
December 18, 2021 - Fantastic. Very balanced. Unctuous but with enough bright acidity to keep it all together.
December 5, 2021 - Medium gold with rich intensity on the nose with luscious notes of honey, apricot, lime, spiced pear and some vanilla. This medium-full body dessert wine has a sweetness that is beautifully balanced with a sharp mouth watering acidity. On the palate, wild honey, apricot jam, meyer lemon, cloves, fruitcake and vanilla on the persistent long honeyed finish. Beautiful wine!
November 25, 2021 - Pronounced. Botrytize, marmalade, dried mango, pineapple, vanilla, toasty. Powerful and layered.
March 9, 2021 - On the orange range of the fruit side, with tropical nuances, there is ample honey and vanilla as well as mango and papaya. Sweet, with a jolt of overripe pineapple and marmalade in the finish, you can enjoy this young, or age it for more nuances.

After the funny discussion about Doisy, I have to say that I am usually reluctant to taste sweet wines because when they are young, they quickly saturate my senses of taste and smell. This time presence of food in the form of fresh grilled foie gras with peaches and a lemon meringue pie helped pass the sweet drink. Most curious thing about these wines is how they divided the components of this tasting 50% between those who believed that Daëne was creamier and more elegant and those who considered Vedrines as more capable of aging due to its fine acidity. For my part, I prefer Vedrines because its acidity overcomes me and I don't see that it lacks the aristocratic character of its competitor.
Después de la divertida discusión sobre Doisy, he de decir que normalmente soy reacio a catar vinos dulces porque cuando son jóvenes, enseguida saturan mis sentidos del gusto y del olfato.
Esta vez la presencia de comida en forma de foie fresco a la parrilla con melocotón y de tarta de merengue y limón ayudó a pasar el dulce trago.
Lo más curioso de estos vinos es cómo dividieron al 50% a los componentes de esta cata entre los que creían que Daëne era más cremoso y elegante y los que consideraban al Vedrines cómo más capaz de envejecer por su fina acidez.
Por mi parte me quedo con Vedrines porque me convence su acidez y no veo que carezca del carácter aristocrático de su competidor.
