March 26, 2022 - This wine had a deep yellow/gold center with clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose of orchard fruit, marzipan, Indian spiced raisins, mango, and minerals was nice but a bit funky.

In the mouth, this was very refined and integrated with great richness, acidity and length.

Now is the time to enjoy this unusual and fascinating wine.

March 7, 2020 - La Paulee 2020 - Gala Dinner (Pier 60): So energetic, so many layers, textbook aged Burgundy. Wow. 96

August 17, 2016 - Very expressive nose on this bottle despite initially being served too cold. Light umami funk for a period as it warmed. Balanced citrus, fruit, mineral and chalk tones on the palate. Now is the time to drink this one

March 8, 2016 - Awesome wine and one of the older bottles. Terrific and still has some life. From Magnum.

December 29, 2011 - Perfect bottle, A-stand. Perfect cork. This bottle was in Great shape.
This is the best white wine I've tasted so far in my life.
    The colour is slightly golden.
On the nose it reminds me of the kind of sulphur Nicolas Joly uses. I love this kind of "crazy sulphur" that only the great producers can manage to handle, i.e Domaine Leroy, Ramonet and sometimes Joly. Gravy, cheese-store, meat, mineral/seashells ... and for the people who knows what I'm talking about ... Joel-prutt ;-)
On the palate this fabulous wine offers cheese, mushrooms, yellow crisp fruit, sulphur, meat and a wonderful mineral that leaves a salty finish. The taste goes on forever. This is just wonderful. Everything is in place here and creates a wine in perfect balance. Perfect harmony.
I'm in love!! Wonderful acidity, and this wine still offers lots of fruit.
I give this wine 98 - 99 points. I still have a Montrachet 1985 from Ramonet to taste ... but I wonder if it can exceed this piece of art.
No doubt! This is a masterpiece!
Even more beautiful than Gwen Stefani!

June 2, 2011 - This wine has both power and grace, sporting that beautiful crystalized minerality you find in great aged white Burgundy. It is simply great on the palate, really lovely... but not as great on the nose, and thus a slightly lower score than one would hope. Seems consistent with older BBMs, they peak earlier than the Batards.

February 11, 2007 - HFS! The color on this was simply amazingly young. Brilliant, green tinged, could have been only a couple years old, not 21. Unfortunately, the last bottle of this that Bill had. What a priviledge. This kept on going strong for hours, even when I went back to it after several reds and a dessert wine. The power and beauty just kept coming.
