April 26, 2024 - Pretty meh. Tannic. Nothing stands out.

August 10, 2023 - Deep ruby colour with purple edges. Medium (-) and developing nose with blackberry, black plum, black pepper, cloves, cedar and leather. Medium taste of blackberry, black plum, black pepper, cloves, cedar and leather. Medium long and dry finish. High acidity. High tannins. Medium body. A very good Haut-Médoc with a bitter finish that needs time. Drink in ten to twenty years. Goes well with beef or lamb.

July 2, 2023 - Decanted for a couple of hours. Super dark black cherry colour. Black currant, plum, bell pepper, charred oak, graphite and suede. Sweet, black berry entry, chalky tannins, super dry, elevated acidity. Medium bodied, nicely balanced. Palate follows the nose with ripe and smoky black currant, plum, cedar bark, graphite and minerals. Young and tight. Definitely needs food at this point. But quite good nonetheless! 92 points with upside!

June 11, 2023 - Blackberry, cedar, vanilla, with a slight red licorice and leather note with a hint of rose on the aroma. Blackberry , cedar, vanilla on the palate. Medium-plus acidity, body and tannins. Tannins with a medium-grit quality. Overall, a pleasant Bordeaux with a three hour decant.

May 8, 2023 - Bigger is not always better, and this is a big Sociando, a producer I have really liked in years past but over the last few years has gone in a bigger, darker direction with their wines. This one is clunky and inelegant. Hopefully in time it comes together. I missed the green pepper notes of older vintages.

May 5, 2023 - Open on the nose and on the palate. Lots of cassis and #2 pencil.
Full bodied, a bit gritty tannin, medium acidity. Decent finish.
    Drinking very well right now.

December 9, 2022 - Something is moving… from the beginning, this wine show some bitter wood side, but since last year, it has improved a little the fruity notes. Cedar, dark cherry, wood and dark chocolate. Dry tannins. A little too much of anything, but this still lacking elegance and depths.

December 4, 2022 - This is an immense wine for the Chateau! Full bodied, dense and loaded with dark fruit. Softens a touch on the backend, making for a really nice finish. I know this will age well, but she is good to go now 3 hrs decant! I just upped my accumulation for a case. It's clearly the best vintage I have tasted from the chateau, which includes the 2010. It's the density and weight I truly love here along with the taste. Close to VCC's Gravette, just not as silky and layered due to the higher cabernet content, but the blueberry and jammy accents are apparent. Really enjoyable.

July 9, 2022 - Crushed berries detectable but overshadowed by earth, spruce, some eucalyptus. Tannic structure front and center on first taste. It closed up a few minutes after uncorking and took an hour in the decanter to come back to life. Probably better opened 2024-28. Could see the score going up with a few more years on its side.

    June 10, 2022 - Color: Deep ruby

Nose: blackberry, cherry notes with vanilla oak

Palate: Black cherry, blackberry with notes of vanilla. Medium plus acidity. Medium plus fine tannin mostly from grape tannins with some grip. Medium plus body.

Overall: This wine is a baby and has the tannin and acidity to age well. I would wait another two, three years before it starts hitting its prime drinking window.
