  March 11, 2008 - 85/10/5 Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc blend. There seems to be an abundance of alcohol here. Dark purple color. Sweet nose with cherry. A bit hot on the palate. After the heat fades away, notes of cherry and a touch of spice. Smooth but shortish finish. Performed a bit better after opening up for an hour. Overall, not bad for the price but could certainly use a bit more finesse. Great for a casual drink, but not tremendously impressed overall.

  February 14, 2008 - The winemakers' notes are pretty much dead on - cheries, cola, berries, caramel, mocha. You get this right from the start. I may have shunned this as being borderline too sweet, but then tannins and a bit of oakiness shows up nicely.
