October 10, 2020 - 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of two Yakima vineyards: Willard Farms delivering dark berry fruit and Red Willow offering up earth and dried herbs- ( notes taken from the source). Price point $60, I got lucky and did not pay this price. This wine is nice, the two vineyards combined offer my palate a slight red apple( is this a Washington characteristic?). Finish is not extraordinarily long but the tannins are there although fine, but very nice. The tannins did add to the score for me, balancing nicely with the fruit. The retail price is a little high for my liking, but for a 100% Cabernet from the two vineyards- maybe my idea of a $35 wine was justifiably increased monetarily . I would say this wine is worth drinking it's definitely good, after some air tomorrow's poor was improved balance, but I'll keep at 89 and add a +.
